No, you don't need an account to watch it. You'll at least need to restart your browser if you installed a new Flash version though. Maybe even reboot (?).
Ah, yes, the reboot did the trick. Very nice trailer! I think the ship getting flung away looks pretty cool myself.
I viewed it at full screen straight off the facebook page, very impressive.
Very nice work! (It's Awesome) I'll always be a fan of the sitar intro music. As others have said it makes it more authentic. I like it when a game shows that it has actual physics, and the explosion at the end demonstrates this nicely, showing that cap ships have mass, rotational inertia etc. Perhaps a follow up video to this could be an in depth look at an aspect of the game like trading, dynamic warfare, or the PCC.
Personally, I think some of the text should be replaced, eventually, by voiceover..
Azrael should do the voiceover :P
I think there should be a shot of a bar, with shot glasses overturned, bottles empty, right after the "some people like to trade & mine peacefully..." there should be a "Some people like to exist as drunks and degenerates..."
That would make this perfect. (And congrats F&M for making it in the video as Inc's opponent!)

Hey Inc, if I can get you a high quality version of the trailer myself and a few others put together here a while back, would you be willing to host it as a fan made trailer on your vendetta facebook page?
^ epic trailer. host!
Thats the one with the serco freight hauler masquerading as an Itani in a valk, right? :)

Ghost as long as its not buggy like the one you gave me.
Azreal should do the voiceover
Haha, I cannot agree more. Azreal's voice epitomizes the experience of Vendetta Online!

I've done a quick and dirty dubbing, but the video quality is poor due to downloading and compression. I don't have anywhere to host it, but I guess I could put it up on YouTube, unless someone has a better idea.
If you want a place to host it I can provide that. I've hosted VO videos before, and it seemed to work out. You can contact me via email: my in-game name separated by a period at google's mail service. (I'm Denji, just in case you don't know)
It's already hosted here: http://blip.tv/file/2539668
I finally got a well compressed, un-buggy, high quality version. It only took me 3 years. For those who haven't seen it recently, there's a few small changes too. I try to repost it every now and then to keep the buzz up, but I was hoping Inc would put it on the Vendetta facebook page. I'll repost it again soon in it's own thread, but I didn't want to steal the thunder from Inc's trailer.
@AngelOfDeath: Blip TV (where mine is hosted) does EXCELLENT free high quality video hosting. Much better than youtube if you're not concerned about getting random hits.

Thanks to diqrtvpe, my voiceover is here: http://bishop.phys.northwestern.edu/VOTrailerDub.avi
That's a keeper!
Nice voiceover. :)
Ghost, I've always liked that trailer of yours. But part of the point of the content I'm posting on Facebook is to show our latest and greatest graphics, that we spent all that time to upgrade. The era of your trailer is from before, obviously, and doesn't quite have the same quality visuals.
The other thing is that Facebook is a bit freaky about IP and copyrights. I don't know if you have the rights to that music and such.
It is possible for people to post their own fan videos on our facebook page, right now, without us having to upload anything (I don't know if that's a good idea or not, but I left it open for now). But I would prefer if uploaded videos were post-graphics-update and had all the detail turned up ("256MB" settings or better, Shader 2.0+). I upgraded the graphics partially as a marketing thing, and this is the opportunity to use it for that purpose. "Putting our best foot forward", so to speak.

Understandable. I'll keep it within the community then.
Great job with the graphics on the trailer. Trailer looks great. My own graphics look like crap compared to those in the trailer. Time for a new Mac I think.
