Below are some actual screens from my computer. It's all set to the highest possible settings in both Graphics and Video sections on the options menu.
I was wondering why the screenshots they use to adverstise are so pretty and how can I make it so I can experience the same quality.

I REALLY want to invest money into this game, but if it's going to look like that, I'm not sure I'm willing. I mean $10 a month may not be a lot, but it is money that I worked hard for and would like something nice and shiny to look at.
Any ideas? I only have about an hour and a half left on my free trial, so try to make your suggestions count.

Tell us more about your comp. What video card, what operating system, etc.
Windows Vista SP1 32-bit
Intel T2300 ~1.67ghz [Core Duo] Processor
1 GB of RAM
Video card is integrated [laptop]
Mobile Intel 945 Express Chipset Family [Intel GMA 950]
251mb of Video Memory [driver: igdumd32.dll]
DirectX v 10
I'd give you a dxdiag of it all, but that'd be quite lengthy.

It's like textures aren't displayed properly, might have to do with integrated card but i don't think it should look like this.
This is in comparison to the images below. Something is definitely going on.
Most of the ships I've seen come out looking more like:
It's not fair!!!
I want really pretty pictures that move!!! Call me what you will, but I enjoy a text-based game as much as any computer user over the age of 12... but if you're going to put pictures in a game, make them pretty. Not saying it's anyone's fault, I just want a way to make mine all pretty and stuff.

Wow, that sucks but I just have to say: "TF2 in space!."
But hmmm, if I had to guess I would probably that something's wrong with your texture files and if not, video card. Try deleting VO and reinstalling it.
Edit: can you get a screeny with a view of the skybox?

Ehhh....skybox?
It looks like there's some missing textures or something.
Reinstalled, no change. Redownloaded and reinstalled, no change.

this would have gotten developer attention had it been posted in the bugs forum. Did you start a bug ticket? Go to customer support.
Haven't yet... but I'll post one linking to this one. Thanks.
I just tested it on my desktop, works amazing. I guess I just can't play it on my laptop :-(
Oh well... I guess I'll just have to stop walking while I play T.T
If someone could close/lock or even delete this thread, it'd be appreciated.

There could be a VO: Cel Shading version >_>
I'd play it.
I'd play it.
I want line mode back!
It looks like your laptop isn't properly displaying any textures. Do you have the latest drivers?
It would be helpful if you could post the contents of the "directx9.log" from your laptop, which would be in the game directory (usually c:\Program Files\Vendetta Online). Make sure the log is from when your textures were not loading properly (ie, send us the log before trying the solutions below).
Given the problems people have experienced with Intel chipsets and drivers, perhaps try going into Options -> Video and changing "Shaders" from Automatic to 2.0. Or perhaps disable shaders entirely.

Try switching to OpenGL mode in Options->Video->Change Driver...
I'll try these things after I get my first month's sub put in. I hate to be a threadomancer, but I'm afraid I'm not willing to waste the 30 minutes I have left troubleshooting what could be a dead-end when I could be looking at all of the prettiness you guys put into the game.
Do I smell a trial extension for this poor fellow?
