I can confirm that 1.7.12 crashes to desktop every time, running OS X 10.4.8

Tried removing config.ini and wgaf.cfg to see if a setting was causing this, but no dice.

the 1.7.12.1 patch fixed my problem.

thanks for a speedy patch.

Sorry about the problem. 1.7.12.1 should also fix the rendering-order issues with storms (asteroids on top of storm effects). Let us know if you see problems. Thanks.

Uhm...Am I the only one (Maybe my system is b0rked) or is 1.7.12 really slow?

I´m playing VO on my 12" Powerbook 1.33GHz 1.25GB Ram and Mac OS X 10.3.9

Graphics Settings somewhat low (Level of Distance set to5, Textures: low, Background Detail:Low and so on)

On 1.7.11 (and earlier) everything went fine. Really smooth Framerate, even at stations. (To be exact: I had the feeling 1.7.11 runs faster than any previous Version)

But now on 1.7.12.1 Its not really smooth anymore. Especially at stations it feels like 2 to 5 FPS. (At the same Graphic-Settings. Or did 1.7.11 use another Shader Model than 1.7.12 as default?)

If I´m the only one with this problem, I think I have to reinstall my Computer... (Had a bad Systemcrash yesterday, but I thought I fixed everything.)

My favourite update in a long time. Those GUI improvements, even if it was just a few buttons, make a universe of difference when trying to bring in new players. Having had to borrow and use a linux box for 6 months when I ran a fist through the screen of my iMac, I am quite fond of the command line, but one of the first questions I always get when I try to bring another hapless WoWer or EVEr into the fold is always "what, there is no window for that?".

Graphical interface for social functions, customizable GUI, advanced graphical features, new mission content, user-friendly menus... Congrats, VO. Yer growing up ;-)

Is it safe to upgrade?

It's MacBook Pro, Radeon X1600-safe. Canna say anything beyond that.
