Make Cappie Passengers/gunners invisible to sector list

I think it wold make life a whole lot more fun & interesting (and realistic) if when a player cappie entered a system, any and all crew aboard were a complete mystery to Sector notifications, sensor logs, etc. Heck, if fog can hide pilots in Pelatus c-12, why not inside 1,000,000 points of cappie hull?

Let attackers discover turret gunners the hard way. Let them know who was aboard only when gunners scramble to defend ship to ship.

However, before I unwittingly give evildoers the keys to all three kingdoms, perhaps still give nation border turrets the sensors needed to spot hated and KOS passengers.

-1. Total idiotism. Then make my fighter invisible for cappie captain too. CD, maybe you just want a big yellow button to push on?, -- that even deals 100k dmg to everyone in the sector? What next?

if you attack a warship, I doubt you have a crew roster.

ffs, Pirren: you act as if my suggestions are for ME and me alone. The second Player trident was finished today, and 2 or 4 more are due to complete in the next few months. I think withholding crew dispositions is fair and realistic, and if you would stop to think a moment for what it could do for YOU: This feature would best serve a pirate cappie if ever one is made.

So give it your -1 if you disagree, but stop being a ninny or I will hit the big yellow button.

+1 to this idea. It should apply to Moth/Atlas turret gunners as well.

+1 as long as people onboard the cappie can see the other people aboard on the sector list

How about the addon scanner lets you see who is aboard as a gunner, and the cargo scanner lets you see who has brought a ship aboard? (You'd have to be within scanner range, of course)

Oh, this brings up some interesting questions though. Why can you see who's in a station without docking? Or why can you see ships on your sensor log when they're outside radar range?

Maybe the radar system needs an upgrade/overhaul before something like this would make sense...

Maybe? Maybe!?

Bullshit. Sauce for the goose, sauce for the gander.

@ Lecter: yeah, I actually like the idea of smuggling KOS types into places they would otherwise have to run a large gauntlet to reach, but I figured it would be a deal-breaker for the suggestion on the dev's side. Maybe if only Dau, Itan and Sol II had precautions? The cappie pilot would have to be at grave risk of faction loss if caught, so a way to be caught would need to be in place... maybe roving Marshals with uber scanners?

Smuggling people should be detected exactly the same as smuggling cargo.

man, I understand, that ye are the big pink star of VO, (thus a lil' bit gay), but stop making suggestions like "gimme one more port", "gimme more speed", "gimme more armor", "gimme gimme gimme". Sounds more like whining.

+1 Passangers and gunners of vessel should not be visible, this should also apply to stations.

a foot note, if the gunner starts shooting shit up the cover should be blown on the player fireing

+1 with changes:

1. Passengers vs Gunners
1.1. Passengers are players inside a capship except capship's pilot and gunners.
----> Either in Bar or in his own ship docked in, or gunner for someone's else ship docked in cappie.
1.2. Gunners are manning a capship turret "now".
1.3. A player can switch location, thus become Passenger or Gunner, in capships. Small ships only have pilot and gunner seats.

2. Detection Rules:
Once a player is "detected", the turrets/guards become aware of his presence and he remains in local sector list for detecting players
2.1. Passengers are invisible, while gunners are visible to turrets/guards
2.2. Docked in ships are detectable to anyone using an addon or cargo scanner (owner name) and turrets/guards
2.3. If the sector it guarded, anyone detected becomes visible to all players present in sector. RP-wise, guard broadcasts that info. But in non-guarded sectors only players with addon or cargo scanners, or who target the turrets, will see gunners and/or docked in ships.

3. Consequences:
Anyone detected transporting Hated/KoS people is considered TEMP Hated/KoS, until that capship leaves nation space or gets destroyed, and receives a big standing penalty.

TL:DR:
-To become completely invisible, someone must board a capship as gunner from shipyards or enter capship as a gunner for another player, so he does not have a ship docked in. And he must not use capship's turrets to remain invisible.
-Docked in ships and gunners are detectable, either to NPCs/Turrets or players using addon/cargo scanners, or targeting turrets.

This is so ironic it hurts. 'Idiotism' is not a word, you moron.

Please do not post anymore Pirren, you just make a fool of yourself. CD was asked by the devs for feedback and this is feedback. It's not whining. It's not demands. It's suggestions about how to fix an experimental design, and feedback is critical.

Anyway, +1 to the OP.

Pirren, darling... are you feeling a little threatened because you used to flirt with me before someone suggested to you that the player was not the character? Please stop attacking my suggestions as self-serving, honey. They are only suggestions, and they are made only in the interest of making all future player capships fit into this previously small craft universe. The devs introduced this cappie completely unfinished, per community consensus, and I will continue to post suggestions when I want the community to weigh in on them. Thank you for your thoughtful contribution of "you're gay". NEXT!

I have an excuse, pirates don't need to be well educated :}

Back to the topic:

If pilots won't see players inside cappie, then make them invisible to NPC too. So that tri-KOS character could hide inside trident and travel on in the Nation space.

I, uh, um... huh. Maybe... pirren, did you recently watch the first ten or so minutes of the Howard Stern movie?
