OK, first test print of my new 3d printer. Its the little Warthog model I made in TinkerCad
Raw off the print bed, with the raft and support structure still attached
and after cleaning off the support material (and breaking a fin in the process)
This was "Medium" speed, default settings. Results will improve as I learn the various ins and outs...

Awesome!
nice
waiting for more :)
wow that's really cool.... just curious how much a 3-d printing setup such as you have runs (including supplies to make, lets say, 10 of those hogs?)
Looks nice. Thanks for sharing!
Excellent! Incarnate was talking about doing this when 3D printers were huge, expensive, and only found in industrial applications.
Faille wins VO! We can all go home now guys...
Hmmm, add about one inch and you can 3d print an accurate representation of your wolf.
That's just sweet!
Faille, you have to print out more VO ships so my grandson can have a awesome baby mobile. Make sure that you add a flaming TGFT trident to the mix please. :)
Why specify flaming? Not like there's any other kind of TGFT anything.
Is it painted yet??????
Faille, can you tell me how much that material weighs?
I would love to use the .stl file for this if you are willing to put it somewhere!
OK, further 3d printing trials. This is a "big-ature", a 4" tall display model. I still need to eliminate the grain texture, but I have largish prints working reliably. The rest is down to finding the right settings.
Painting is a little weird, with the grain texture, but still looks pretty good from 2' away

this is awesome
OK, new pic by request...
Sweet! That looks sick! Thanks for the update.
So, my printer broke last night. It is under warrantee, and should be back online soon. In the meantime, I will continue to tinker with 3d models I guess.
