Speaking of Monopoly, has anyone ever heard of a Monopoly imitator called Solarquest, where you buy up the planets and their moons? Way better than regular Monopoly.
I remember playing the board versions of Pacman and Pong.

Scrabble
Monopoly, Risk, Clue. They're all classic games with simple premises, and so ubiquitous that you can get a game started with virtually anyone at the drop of a hat. Handy, if, say, you get stuck waiting with other traders in an empty sector because the next wormhole on your route is infested with DEATHMOTHS.
Now, for more complex play:
Empire Builder- Railroad building & train operation game, no dice, low element of random events from drawn cards, which can be minimized further with simple rule tweaks. If you've played Railroad Tycoon, you know the gist of this game.
Merchant of Venus- Space trading game, dice involved. The rulebook contains a large, pointless-to-gameplay quantity of information on all the locations, races, and goods involved, which I absolutely adore. The guy on the box cover is how I picture pirates in VO.

I'd have to go with Risk, Scrabble, Monopoly and Yahtzee.
When I'm feeling like being nice to my husband we play Eurorails.
I played Settlers of Catan once, and it was very fun. I'd play again, but it's expensive and none of my friends have it.
Same here, Chaos. I also like Trivial Pursuit and Scrabble.
Gosh Sarahanne, you spoil him...
For people who like Die Siedler von Catan (Settlers of Catan), here is a free online version:

I like Blokus (a few versions), Rumis, Risk, and Yahtzee.
I hate loosing in Scrabble to my Germany GF...
My 13 year old sister hear me call my GF Schatzi, and wanted to know why I called her Yahtzee!

Dammit, Toimu, I'm trying to not find more things to use up all my time!
Thanks, that's a great find that I'll have to investigate after this semester finishes thoroughly kicking my butt.
By the way, is there a German version of Scrabble? I started learning German a couple years ago and didn't get very far, but I plan to continue in the future and that would be fun.
