The new Google street view is sure to bring us all kinds of public spectacles... from sunbathing women to Lindsay Lohan's vagina.

I don't think VO boards are a good place for porn, cunjo?
Mar 27, 2008 Lord~spidey link
where did that link go ?
Mar 27, 2008 toshiro link
Perhaps Cunjo was asked to remove it because the devs don't want pornographic images to be linked on the forums? If the definiton of pornography in WI is similar to the one over here, any image of a primary sexual organ is pornography.

Cunjo just earned his first 1motherf**kin'80 (cocktail party at work; my standards are lower at the moment).

"any image of a primary sexual organ is pornography" Really? How do you train your med students?

More like how do you teach your sex-ed students?

Ouu, right...

Lecter, I have no idea, but my guess is that there are exceptions mentioned. I'm not going to go and look it up, though. It probably has to do with who is able to access said publication, as well.

I think the documents are freely available on the net, if you're interested, you can check it out yourself.

/me shrugs

I live where there's a real First Amendment. What the Hell do I care about your legal system's bizzare exceptions to the fundamental right of free speech?

It generally boils down to prurient interest vs. scientific/educational use. I've seen all sorts of movies in college lecture halls and patient education materials. The image in question was not appropriate for this website.

Found it, but there is no clear definition of what constitutes pornography in Switzerland... oh well. At least I know now what is allowed and not, by law.

Edit: Typo corrected.

1. there is no clear definition of what constitutes pronography in Switzerland

2. I know now what is allowed and not, by law.

I would have thought that 2. would not have followed from 1...

Well, to make it short, the law (in Switzerland) dictates what you may or may not do with pornography. What is pornography and what is not is not clearly stated. Hopefully you see that you do not necessarily need to know what constitutes a crime to perceive the consequences of it.

E.g. I do not know *exactly* how high the tolerance on the speed limit is over here, but I know *exactly* that I have to expect a fine, or harsher repercussions, if I violate the speed limit.

Having read a bit more about it, I found out that my definition of pornography (in Germany) was incomplete... it has to be a publication intended to arouse the viewer by depicting the sexuality of the human body or the sexual act in word, sound or picture (translating as best I could).

Scientific publications are, per definitionem, not pornographic.

My guess is that in Switzerland, it is decided on a per-case-basis what constitutes porn. To have a more or less clear definition, one would have to read transcripts of pertaining lawsuits, and I'm really not going to do this, since that would take more time than a google and wikipedia search...

"....the fundamental right of free speech?"

So Lecter, what your saying is you should have the right to speak with your primary sexual organ?
