I downloaded a file that was about 1.18Gb. By some accidental reason, it closed, I hadnt installed the program yet. Is there anyway that i can get it back without having to wait for the 2 hour download time?
I use windows.

It can happen on a Mac too, if one decides to Run instead of Save.

Anyway, if you saved the installer, then it should be around, run a search. If you chose the Run option, it should still be around, with any luck. If not, redownload city for you.

ye, I clicked run. And the reason why it closed was because i accidentally crashed it(dam windows).

this, kiddies, is why you always save installers to the disk instead of running them from their current location.

Will be in a temp directory, prolly somewhere in yer Documents and Settings folder, like C:\Documents And
Settings\Username\Local Settings\Temp.

SO like, as long as you ain't done a disk clean-up in a while, you might be surprised what else you find there.

How do you click 'run' instead of 'save' on a mac?

moldy was probably using one of those OSX-lookalike UI skins for Windows.

Some of them are pretty well-done. o_O

Toshiro, Firefox gives users the option of opening the file.

Aye! Sorry, I'm a Firefox fanatic. All the others are icky.

I guessed as much (about Firefox). Didn't want to name it, though.

There's no helping. Get a mac!

Just another reason why people think Windows sucks.

/me thinks the 'System Requirements' on the Windows box should also have "I.Q.: 110 and up."

IQ ratings are crap.

The tests they did when I was a kid put me at 135, which qualifies me for MENSA, in theory. I don't really think that's too accurate.

IQ tests should really be about how fast you can adapt to a concept, and apply it.

Not how many random patterns you can observe

Plus testing children of a young age isn't the most accurate with the change of the child over a decade or more.

So you may have been MENSA quality at 7 but 20... check again.
