Solra BIZNA? Since when has he worked on Desp2!?

Hahaha Miharu, not far enough away. Your parents will be able to "drop in" on you unannounced.

I went to school 1,000 miles away, Only times I saw the parental units on-campus was at dropoff and pickup, and that was only for Freshman & Sophomore year. Oh, and graduation of course.

I think, as an indirect result of that, College ruled.

High School: NEVER!

Congrats all of y'all who are finally gettin yer ass out of High School. Now take a year (or more) and go see how useless high school was before you go to college!

I'm with Snax. I took a year off (and worked), killed a few leisurely years in junior college getting an AA, and then went to state college for my BS. If you want to enjoy your life, take some time to grow up and find out what drives you. If your parents are paying - take a LONG time.

HS - 1985
College - 1992
MBA - one of these days

It's far enough away that my mother won't bother coming to see me (WOOHOO!) as she lives on the west coast. It's also *just* far enough away from Dad's place such that he'd actually have to choose between taking classes with me and going to work... he really (and I mean really) likes WPI. But then, it's also close enough that I can go up to the cabin in Maine with him on my ten-day breaks that happen once every 7-8 weeks.

Smittens pulled a few coherent thoughts together to ask: Solra BIZNA? Since when has he worked on Desp2!?

Desperation 2 is not the only game Solra works on. It's not even the only project he's working on. Far as I know, he works on it on and off because he has lots of other things that he needs to get done.

"Do you see, Arren, how an act is not, as young men think, like a rock that one picks up and throws, and it hits or misses, and that's the end of it. When that rock is lifted, the earth is lighter; the hand that bears it heavier. When it is thrown, the circuits of the stars respond, and where it strikes or falls the universe is changed. On every act the balance of the whole depends. The winds and seas, the powers of water and earth and light, all that these do, and all that the beasts and green things do, is well done, and rightly done. All these act within the Equilibrium. From the hurricane and the great whale's sounding to the fall of a dry leaf and the gnat's flight, all they do is done within the balance of the whole. But we, insofar as we have power over the world and over one another, we must LEARN to do what the leaf and the whale and the wind do of their own nature. We must learn to keep the balance. Having intelligence, we must not act in ignorance. Having choice, we must not act without irresponsability. Who am I -though I have the power to do it- to punish and reward, playing with men's destinies?"
"But then," the boy said, frowning at the stars, "is the balance to be kept by doing nothing? Surely a man must act, even not knowing all the consequences of his act, if anything is to be done at all?"
"Never fear. It is much easier for men to act than to refrain from acting. We will continue to do good and to do evil... But if there were a king over us all again and he sought counsel of a mage, as in the days of old, and I were that mage, I would say to him: my lord, do nothing because it is righteous or praiseworthy or noble to do so; do nothing because it seems good to do so; do only that which you must do and which you cannot do any other way."

I'm uh... graduating... middle school this year. Hallelujah! I'm not even sure graduating is the right word, lol. Getting Out Of is a more appropriate frase.
