As Neon clearly suggested to me in DrHunk's PvP event thread, I am going to start my own event. The prizes will be extremely good as well, even adding Samoflange in here! :D But, this event is ONLY FOR F2P. It is a fact that F2P don't shine at much in VO. People can donate creds, or certain valuable items to the prize pot. Date and time are yet to be confirmed.

1. Races:

There will be a race from Helios B-14 to Edras G-11. There will be prizes for the first and second players to dock.

2. Mining Events?:

I am not very sure about this event, but I will say a certain ore. Players must mine in an Atlas (32cu) and get 32cu of that ore. The first and second will get prizes.

I will show more events and edit this post. Other players may also help me if they like and donate to the prize pot.

Can we say android players or do you really mean just f2p?

The race will be very interesting for pirates on the route if it is only f2pers in f2p ships. :-)

The problem is making sure that people are only on f2p accounts, I had an idea about doing events specifically for mobile players but could not get dev assistance in making sure that players were in fact on a mobile device.

A thought would be instead of f2p account specifically, limit license levels to 4/4/4/4/4 or below, and only use equipment allowed at such level. It is probably what you were going to do to check if they were f2p anyways, but does allow premium players who really want to make an alt participate without the trouble of making a f2p account unless they really want to.

Also, will f2p include lite accounts?

Final comment: For the love of all that is VO, please use the event calendar, it makes knowing when events are to participate and record for Vendetta OnAir much much easier, then I don't have to try to figure out what # Nation War it is when I actually get time to sit down and edit videos.

The Hog II is the greyhound for noobs tho so let hog II in this race but restrict it in future runs. I will donate to these races and I am all for what you all are doing rar.

@lazy: Yes, I will be /charinfo ing people and finding out their licenses. Not many people play Lite anyways, but if they do it is allowed. Below and the same as 4/4/4/4/4 is allowed.

Kevash no one understands the f2p community, I paid 60$ for this game and that's how much I think all games should be worth, But you get a lot of time to play vo for 10$ but the subbed community just doesn't understand.

I believe you've given a lot of stuff to your friends and strangers in vo and that is a form of "giving back". Neon shares the similar belief that "all f2p'rs don't give" I believe a couple of them do.

what exactly is it that f2p-ers don't give back? they don't pay devs for the awesome game they made? well, there is merit in that, but also plenty of reasons/excuses. unruly parents, lack of funds (some of you sub-ers go to college and suspend your sub during that time, some of you), etc.

is the mining event for f2p-ers as well? If so (and I can get on during that time), ill just pop in to record it.

Ok, wrote down ideas at school, and I have finalized.

1. Need for speed (Race)

The race will be from Helios B-14 to Edras G-11, like a complete tour of greyspace. Players will go in this route: Helios-Ukari-Latos-Sedina-Odia-Bractus-Pelatus-Edras. Entering UIT or any nation space is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate disqualification from the RACE ONLY.

Prizes:

1st: 2 Hive Positron Blasters.
2nd: 1 Corvus Widowmaker.

Rules:

1. Any F2P ship will be allowed; the Warthog MkII is allowed for this race only.
2. You must follow the given route.
3. You die and you are out of the race.
4. You may shoot other players, OUT of Helios B-14.
5. Any breach of the rules, will result in immediate disqualification for the race only.

2. The Roast! (Mining Event)

The Roast is on! For this roast, we will use Denic ore. The first person to drop 32cu of Denic Ore, will win the prize. It will start at Sedina D-14. No player is allowed to go to Latos N-2.

Prize:
1st: Hive Queen Gatling Cannon.

Rules:

1. The players may take an Atlas only.
2. They may go to station sectors, but Latos N-2 is strictly forbidden.
3. You die and you are out of the event.
4. You may not shoot any other players.
5. Any breach of the rules, will result in disqualification for the mining event.

3. Pew Bang BOOM! (Free-for-all!)

It's boom time! The players will go to Odia M-14, and when I honk, they start shooting each other within a timeframe of 15 minutes. The prizes are for most kills and most deaths.

Prizes:

Most kills: 1cu Samoflange.
Most deaths: 5 Ultra Charge PCs, 2 Plasma Anni, and IHDPC.

Rules:
1. You may start only when I honk.
2. The event is over after 15 minutes.
3. You may not leave the sector.
4. All ships allowed.
5. Any breach of the rules, and you will be disqualified for the Mining Event.

Special Mention: kakashe sensei will be donating the 2 Hive Posi, and Itani Monk donating the Queen Gat. I thank them a lot for doing this.

I was kidding. I'm happy for every player hosted event there is. But don't complain if I'm online. I do my RP when I'm online. And that is tightly connected with destroying your spaceships! ;)
