Council members are role models for the new and younger members of GREY. Council members should act as we would like all members to act.
Abuse of leadership powers is not permitted. If you feel a council member is abusing their power, please inform one of the Commanders.
To be promoted to the rank of Council Member you must be nominated by a council member and then seconded by another council member. This will initiate a vote, with the final decision to be made by the Commanders.

All you have to do to be a customer in GREY is conduct business with GREY at least once. Of course we encourage you to come as often as possible to participate in Nation events, but it is not required.
Citizen
To attain Citizen status you must apply for emigration from the forums. Based on your application and GREYs knowledge of you,you may be granted a 2 week visa. During this probationary 2 week period, GREYs Council and Commander will test your drive to be a part of this new nation. If you are deemed worthy you will be given citizenship. This entitles you to make requests of the Greyspace Credit Reserve, and gets you priority help from the Council and Commanders.

Merchants are traders that have proven their business finesse and heavily contribute to the successes of GREY. Merchants are required to have impressive trade history and impressive conflict resolution skills.
Ally
If you have established a written document of alliance with GREY, then you will be treated as a citizen of GREY. We currently are allied with Family Galactic Travel.
Gamesman
Gamesman have the right to invite, schedule nation activities, and use Reserve resource for nation events. Gamesman are expected to be respectful and helpful to the citizens of GREY, and to the citizens that attend.

Commander
There are 2 "Commanders" in GREY. The "forming" Commander, Galanoth, and Commander Kayne. Both Commanders are responsible for the infrastructure of GREY; Forums, Command Structure, Economic Trade Model, Training Programs. The Commanders must embody the values and spirit of greyspace.
The Commanders serve as long as they desires, and a successor will be named by The Council of the Guild only when one or both of the Commanders has decided to resign.
Note that while Grey has no formal democratic structure, the Commanders and Council will take the wishes of the members into account whenever possible.
Recruitment
We recommend that new members read the Greyspace Charter, but it is not required. To join Grey you must apply for citizenship on the forums, or be directly recruited by a Council member or Commander.
Communication
The main means of communicating with each other is the forum. Use them to tell the rest about your experiences, to post screenshots, to form a party to do escorts, to plan events, etc. and to check for news from the Commanders, Council, or others. Check it often! The forum address is: http://greyspacenationalists.bbforum.co/
We expect our members to adhere to the forum rules.
GREY will organize events like Team War etc. It is expected that Citizens try to get as involved as possible with these events if they have characters suitable for them.
Nation events will be scheduled by Commanders, Council, and Gamesman only, or be sanctioned by the Council or Commander.
Guidelines
Behavior
It is expected that all members of the GREY treat each other with respect.
Spamming is not tolerated in any channel. If you are authorized to organize an event try to keep the reminders to a minimum in the public channel. Bad language is tolerated, but if taken to excess or if multiple members complain about it being "hate speech", the offender will be asked to moderate their language. Continued use of words that make a citizen feel attacked, hated, uncomfortable, or unworthy will ultimately lead to disciplinary action. Also bear in mind that our members come from different backgrounds and all ages races and sexes.
other Guild Members
If you need help with item trading or other dealings in the guild, feel free to ask a guildmember for assistance.
Cooperation is something we pride ourselves on. We wish this tradition to continue. It is not expected higher level characters give up too much time to help out the lower level characters, however, help is always appreciated and reciprocated.
Escorts
Agree to a Leader. The Leader is the one who organizes the escort as it progresses, he or she is not a dictator, remember you are supposed to be cooperating. However, listen to the leader if his requests are reasonable.
Citizens are expected not to pick unnecessary fights with people from other nations. However, should the behavior of an external pilot become hostile, abusive, or violate the laws of greyspace, all armed GREY citizens are required to destroy said pilot. Diplomacy, if possible, will be handled by the Commanders and Council.
Disputes and Arguments between Members
We are all human and we will, at some point, disagree with each other. All arguments should be handled discretely. This means no spamming guild with insults, accusations etc. All arguments should be taking to private channels (Group Chat, PM's, Empty Sector Chat) as soon as possible.
If a problem can not be resolved please bring it to the attention of the Commanders or Council as soon as possible.
Under no circumstances are arguments to be carried on using the Forums. This causes more problems between citizens and makes the nation look bad. The same rule applies on IRC, Voice Chat, or any other place where the disagreement can be viewed publicly.
The Commanders and Council members have the final word in any dispute between citizens.
Sanctions
We are not a nation that wants to police its citizens. We hope to use this section only rarely, but any breach can be reported to the Commanders and/or Council who will deal with the matter.
The Commanders are responsible for deciding how to deal with citizens who break Charter rules.
Commanders have complete freedom of action and can warn, fine (as reparations, in case of breaches related to money or items), demote or remove citizens as they see fit. Immediate deportation from GREY will only occur in the gravest of circumstances. If possible, the breaches should be discussed by the Commanders and Council before the more severe measures of demotion or removal are taken.
Breaches by visa holders will face a lower level of tolerance than those of full citizens; they may be removed without consultation if their actions make clear they don’t share the general GREY spirit.
If problems are related to an item or ship, the cost of the item will be taken into account.
The Commanders have the right to use their judgement concerning anything that is not covered in the Guild Charter.
Unforseen Amendments
As before, the Commanders have the final say. A Council member is not allowed to deviate from this charter or enforce rules not explicitly mentioned herein without consulting the Commanders first, except under extreme circumstances.
The Commanders reserve the right to change the contents of the Charter at anytime it is deemed necessary to do so. Agreement between the Council and Commander is sufficient for such changes.

VO: Bureaucracy In Space edition.
It's like [VPR] and [TGFT] fucked and shat out a child, which then grew up in the bad part of town (likely contributing to an inability to correctly use various tenses of the verb run).

Runned, ranned, ren, ranning, ranned, its not that hard really. Simple Englersh
Lecter is correct. The activities that you've listed out resembles TGFT very much. Not necessarily a bad thing if you want to be a peaceful and neutral guild. Just don't make the same mistakes as TGFT.
I would like to point out that the guild GREY is not currently allied with FAMY.
I understand that they would *like* to ally with us, but that is something the FAMY Council will need to vote on first.
So far, the question that keeps recurring is "what's in it for FAMY?"
That being said, Good Luck on the new guild. I hope it works out.

Alliance with FAMY is usually automatic under one of two circumstances:
1. You share a common enemy and you are actively, competently fighting them.
2. You pay a guild wide warranty from month to month.
As soon as you stop fighting that common enemy or stop paying warranties, you cease to be useful to FAMY. Does that make sense?

No, I don't understand....
joyless when you log on for once, I'll take your representation of FAMY seriously. And no, the Alliance with FAMY is not as set in stone as i figured it would be. YT-1300 and his council have yet to vote on the matter. That as my mistake for assuming. FAMY is not officially allied with GREY, but GREY is allied with FAMY, if that makes any sense. There are a lot of naysayers and players who disapprove of GREY, as expected. Our model is similar to TGFTs only because we have a neutral stance of the Itani/Serco war, and the fact that we will be conducting trade and manufacturing endeavors. Besides that, GREY is a PvP oriented guild. We are still under construction you can say. Just a group of players who wanted to make a guild. I dont get why it has caused an uproar (Example:our conflict with ONE right after creation). Though i would rather have allies than enemies, it seems their will always be groups who want nothing but conflict. That is made obvious by persistent aggression of so called "nationalists" towards a newly formed guild that has done nothing but tried to reach out to other guilds for positive relations. The direction of GREY is decided by the playerbase i suppose. Either way. we will not seek alliance from Nation guilds anymore. Guilds based in greyspace and neutral guilds are free to seek beneficial relations with us.

To be clear, I did not read that drivel. The mere act of writing that much shit up for a fucking VO guild is what makes it the kind of twat-wafffeling one normally sees from TGFT/VPR.
Go join your middle school's model UN already.

Wah wah wah wah wah.
That's what your guild members will be doing in a few weeks.

If that's the case you would be a perfect fit Yoda. Sign up for GREY!
FAMY is not officially allied with GREY, but GREY is allied with FAMY, if that makes any sense.
No, that doesn't make any sense. It's the same thing as an ugly, dimwitted girl insisting that she is your girlfriend despite you two having never dated. If you want to be allied with FAMY, you better think of ways that you can make it worth our while. A relationship goes both ways, or it is not a real relationship at all. Whether you like it or not, I am a FAMY councilor, therefore you need to win my vote.

You have not been around for long, so I'll tell you something you may not know yet. There have been many, many new guilds, and very, very few of them survive past the first month. I would say about 98% of them fail.
Okay, how do you increase your odds of surviving? You need to provide something that no other guild is providing yet. Trying to do everything does nothing but to dilute the purpose of your guild, rendering it pointless.
Pick ONE thing that you want your guild to focus on. So you want to be PVP-oriented? Forget trading and building tridents. Stop trying to be everybody's friend and go out boom ships. Be something that FAMY and other pvp-oriented nationalist guilds aren't yet. One idea is to offer hit contract services, where people pay you to stalk someone and kill him over and over. There isn't a guild like that yet. League of assassins, how cool would that be?
Maybe you actually don't want to do pvp, and focus on say, building a trident. Then forget pvp and be something that TRI isn't, because right now TRI is the most mature, stable trident building guild.
If your guild doesn't pick one thing to specialize in and excel in it, your guild WILL fade and disband within a few weeks. Surely you don't want all of your writing to go to waste, eh?

Speaking of offering something no guild does, is there any guild that specializes in escort services?
joyless, I think that may be the most words I've seen you type about something you don't have a fucking clue about.
[ASS] have a few "escorts" they can hire to you, but they do charge extra for "extra" services, if you know what I mean *weg*
Yep, I have no fucking clue about what happened to PA, the guild that tried to do everything.
You are correct, sir!
Funny how you barged into here and acted insecure as hell, claiming that I have no fucking clue what I'm talking about even though I said nothing about PA in the first place.
There can only be a reason for this glaring insecurity that you have.
