Non-agression pact

Nov 24, 2006 moldyman link
The CDC signed a non-aggression pact with the Corvus pilot, Roda Slane, as of yesterday. Both sides will not fire on the other without warning unless piracy is seen, in which case the pact is null and void. And actions taken by each party do not reflect the interests or actions of the other.

We are by no means the first, but we are the first to publicly announce it. We take this step in hoping that the Corvus Syndicate and Union based companies and organizations can have closer relations. We must all remember while Corvus has shady business practices, there is no proof they run the pirates that roam grey space and beyond. The enemies to Free Trade are the unaligned pirates and those of the Cargo Liberation Movement, not Corvus Prime.

Non agression pact between a troll guild and one man band?
Not like he is Shape for gods sake.....
You CDC are funny.

Yeah I agree with Bojan. He's one guy...

Lex: Yeah. See, pirates multiply like rabbits. Everyone wants to be a pirate. I'd be much obliged if you'd "baptise" them and bring them to the border. You know, away from Latos.

Daggoth: Sorry. Am I the one who makes deals with CLM? Last I heard, PA and Roda were at odds, anyway.

Bojan: Not as funny as a desk jockey whose best days as a pilot are as dead as Akan.

Borb: Yeah, he is one guy. And his goals don't exactly conflict with ours. Sue me for making it formal?

Translation from what i understood :

<< Bojan, commander of SKV, said CDC & Roda are pathetics.>>

According to me it's a provocation

It's obvious the powerless are grouping up in an attempt to be less so, but nonetheless they will be squashed when the powerful decide to end their pathetic lives.

You better find a bigger group, then, jex. >:)

@moldyman: being bored with VO and not logging to play untill I can enjoy it again makes me a desk jockey and a bad pilot? You presume a lot boytoy.

I blackmailed Miexon with my video footage of him dancing in hot pants, so he ended PA's NAP with Roda... a while ago...

In related news, aforementioned troll smacked me on open channels, telling me i was a runner/spammer/pussy/etc/etc... so I defeated him in an honorable duel to disprove him.

He still smacks me.

Bojan, I was speaking to your character, what with this being a Roleplay forum and all. But hey whatever, old troll.

From the public records of the CDC: "We oppose piracy and all other activities that hinder free trade." Yet you claim Corvus has no involvment with such activities? I submit for your consideration the following:

Corvus pays any who are interested for completeing the following objectives:
1. Destroy trade ships and any other ship escorting them for the express purpose of stealing their cargo.
2. Hunt down and destroy those who defend traders and themselves from said attempted theft.

In what bizzare, backwards and ethically bankrupt universe does that NOT constitute "proof they run the pirates that roam grey space and beyond"?

Logically speaking, you are correct. It's a well known fact.

But one, nor a company nor several organizations banded together can HOPE to take down a Corp, which Corvus is. The structure will remain unless the Union and/or other Corps deal with it. However, this does not mean we cannot deal with their minions, ie unaligned pirates.

While Roda is an unaligned pilot, he has assured me he does not pirate. And if he does, believe me, the pact is over.

NAPs are for fools.

roda will exploit your NAP many, many times. then bitch the moment that you do something "against" the agreement, like fight back or protect one of your own.

Guild NAPs are useful, but one for a single character.... useless.

The Cargo Liberation Movement is not against free trade, in fact we encourage it. It is beneficial to us for trade to come through our space. As for getting us away from Latos, forget it, Latos is CLM territory, has been for a long time and will continue to be so.

I realize that as of late, things have gotten a little out of hand, such as H2 being used as a public zone of some sort, take this as official notice, Latos H2 belongs to the pirates, so if your there and your attacked, you have only yourself to blame.

In the coming days and weeks CLM will be taking a more aggressive stance. So make all the NAPs you want..it doesn't affect us one way or another. You don't want to be shot? Don't come to grey space, or pay us if you do. Simple as that.

1. Sounds like CDC is afraid of a single pilot. Pathetic. >:D Surely you can do better!

2. All known space is The Lady's territory, my dear Mystic, not just Latos. Just think of what you could accomplish if you gave your immortal soul to her! The rewards would be staggering!

3. Your NAP will be brought into The Fold.
