I know a few of us caught the show, and they basically said the same thing everyone says "Vendetta online has a lot of potential."

That's one heck of a great review from them. They were perfectly just in their criticisms and also caught precisely the spirit and potential of the game.

If only they'd have worked CtC in their review it might have been 4-star. (Maybe CtC needs to be publicized a lot more. I've had some incredibly fun times doing that, yet it doesn't ever seem to be mentioned in a review.)

Excellent review. I agree with every point, apart from the comment about ship controls being unresponsive. Maybe I just got used to it?

I'm happy to stick around with Vendetta for now - though I have been tempted more than once by World of Warcraft - because I agree that the potential is huge. Give the developers time to tie everything together, balance it out and add the anticipated features like capital ships and crafting, throw in a few hundred more players and VO will be unparalleled in my eyes.

Actually, they didn't say the controls were unresponsive. The wording:

"Unlike Jumpgate, ship controls are surprisingly responsive even if you’re stuck using your mouse and keyboard. "

Translation: The controls in Vendetta are responsive when using a keyboard, unlike in Jumpgate.

Heh, I had a feeling I read it wrong, so I reread it and still didn't notice that. Maybe this is the countless hours of non-stop playing of KoToR 2 taking its toll..

I have to say, that is one heck of a review for a game that relatively recently hit the open market. They seemed to really like the fact that the game was open-ended (though they mocked it a little in the beginning). And they seemed pretty impressed with the small dev team creating such an expansive game (not to mention consitantly updating and adding to it). Congrats, Devs!

P.S. Did the devs know about this review in advance?

We had no idea this review was happening. I found out today when a prospective user emailed me and mentioned the TV review. I wish I had cable. Maybe Ray can tape the replay or some such.

I agree, very cool review from what I read. Very nice of them to cover a little-known title like ours :).

Recording the review would (presumably) be a copyright violation. Perhaps we could contact the G4 PR department and ask them to put it online?
