Two hundered and Sixty seven years ago the leader of Itani came to Serco and suggested a bout of combat between himself and a Serco opponent chosen by the Serco people.

And to honor this event, the second Oernon Open will take place this month.

16 Serco pilots
16 Itani pilots
16 UIT pilots

The pilots who enter will fight there way through the other pilots in 1 on 1 combat, in a knockout style competition.

The combatants will meet in an empty sector, where the judge will preside over the match, checking for cheating.

Warp out = instant disqualification
premeditated attack on judge = instant disqualification
killing a judge accidently = instant disqualification

Then when the nation's champion is found, He/she will go onto fight the champion from the other two nations.

The champion of these battles will be declared the Oernon Open
champion.

If there is a draw then there will be a battle royal final.

There is a 20K entrance fee, which will be all put towards the prize money.

1st place is 480,000 credits
2nd place is 288,000 credits
and 3rd is 192,000 credits

There is a limit to which ship you can fly, in the interest of fairness.

You can only spend a certain amount on your craft.

first round : 3000
second round : 6000
third round : no limit

The Serco delegation demands that the name of the event be changed to "The Karun Open" in honor of our fallen champion! Your choice of names is insensitive in the extreme, and the Triumverate will not, officially or otherwise, sanction such a blatantly Itani-biased "competition"

In the interest of both sides, I as the self-appointed ambassador of the Itani Nation would like to respectfully request we change the name to the Karun-Oernon Open.

I would like to be available to judge.

Times: Weekends during the daytime, late evenings (8-10/11) during the week.

No self repecting serco would take part in such an event....

I suggest to keep the name as it is. An Itani victory is essentially guaranteed for such events, why not make the title reflect this fact.
