Sweet... this'll be dnd in space! :D good deal!!!
[sarcasm] Ahhh...nice and vague, just the way I like it![/sarcasm]
We won't sweat the details but try to find them out for ourselves and, I'm CERTAIN that nobody will be posting "Vendetta has arrived" all over the gaming community.
The "BUGS" page should be busy for a bit! hehehe

I came back at a good time it seems. I got that fuzzy anticipation feeling just reading the update...
If even only an eighth of that stuff makes it into the update, it will rock - thank you devs!

Thanks for the detailed update, Incarnate. This is truly droolworthy news. For all those bickering about weapon availability, ship availability, and the status of nations... this update says it all. As you can see most of those arguments will be a non-issue in what is already planned. Just wait for these changes before offering more feedback.
PS: Any hints as to how pricing will be handled? Or is that something that will have to wait until a publisher is found (hopefully come E3)? A yearly subscription would be nice.

It sounds good. Not only does it sound like it meets my minimum expectations, but it appears to deal with (via 'achievements') some issues related to neutrality in an elegant way compared to the somewhat barebones system I described without adding alot of extra complexity.
Lets see skills (no word though on whether they have an effect outside of the mission structure), skill advancement (no word though on an XP system), missions (no word though on difficult factors or other control features), licenses (awesome!), reputation (or 'standing' as Incarnate appears to prefer), factions... that's a very large portion of a basic RPG set.

So, um. . . no Dance Dance Space Bass Fishing 3000?
