The main question here, if this plugin is allowed are players allowed to kill "interact" with these malicous characters? If not what is in store for us players who do interact with them. Thanks for readin this post.
Which plugin are you referring to?
I'm not sure what a plugin would have to do with being "allowed" to destroy ships in VO? If there's a ship in the game, generally you can destroy it. Of course, TempKoS and factional ramifications may apply.
We are continually evolving things, in the background, to make spotter bots less feasible.

Thanks for the reply, I am referring to a plugin that allows players to make characters that 'spot' other players and these characters just undock and cruise around the sector., however spotters generally serve no purpose. Thanks for clearing this up, generally if i see a ship of any kind I will try my best to damage it if not destroy it.
Sorry for not being clear haha im meaning to ask if it is ok if we as players can destroy spotter ships; plugin wise im meaning that people are creating plugins in which the game allows that make for the creation of these malitious characters that serve no purpose except to sit around in a sector primarily a station nfz.

So, spotter bots are well-known, they are not a new problem. We've made some recent changes to make them less effective, and we'll be continuing to make more changes until they cease to exist.
But, none of that has anything to do with whether or not you can shoot things in the game. That's governed by the faction and standing mechanics.
I don't think "killing" spotter bots really has much impact on their efficacy as spotters, they usually use free ships. But, there's certainly no special restriction on shooting at them (beyond the usual game mechanics).

There is some spotter bots , which keeps undocking after we kill them , so if we kill them constantly , is it ok ?
Or does it count as Player kills farming and we should not kill spotters ?
Thats what me and some other players want to know too.

are you guys just trying to force Devs into the "nerfing plugins direction" playing the "free kills inflating stats" card?
tsk-tsk
tsk-tsk
Itd be really nice if the bots were gone period, the devs arent a fan of em as much as the rest of the player base is.
Inc answered our question though mwahaha. As long as you dont care about faction standing you can destroy anything.

Farming PKs is obviously not permitted. My prior statements here have no bearing on that well established policy.
So we are not allowed to farm pks on those spotter bots ?
Shop bots are useful and spotters aren't a thing anymore (after recent updates the sector list goes empty after few hours of inactivity).
You are making a lot of noise about a couple of guys coding LUA for fun.

I just want to shoot those spotters for fun and pks , so asking this .
of course you are...
Someone tell this man about auto login!
Thank you.
Thank you.
i82blikeu; Spotter bots are a sure occurence in the game, they launch from the station and fly around slowly so they can still achieve the effect of "spotting". I report bots that I see and so should you. Popping them is a public service, not grounds for punishment because your just destroying a ship, not making a malicious plugin.
"they can still achieve the effect of "spotting"
wrong, launching from a station and flying around doesn't work.
Autologin + autolaunch + someotherpieceofcode isn't working anymore.
There must be someone behind the monitor pressing some buttons at some point. Otherwise the sector list goes empty after some hours.
At that point it isn't a bot anymore, at least from my POV.
If you know a sure way to achieve the result of an AUTOMATED spotter you should report it to Devs opening a support ticket.
In the meantime just stop inflating you pk list with some cheap EC kills... you can have a nice time in VO even with less fat pk stats and even without the bus hunter badge (yeah, i know EC-107 is a nice boat).
And of course you can buy ADV-Rails from some shop bots... (ADV-Rails static routes should be reported too...)

But the question is:
can i keep killing these non effective "spotter" bots without getting the good ol seiger treatment and having the pk stats reset from the devs.

my question is:
how many times per day i can kill a newb riding a free ship homed in Odia M-14 without having Devs mad about it?

Sorry i82blikeu, but you are wrong.
Also I think the answer is simple.
If the bot/account belongs to you, your guild or you have some form of control over it, killing it is bad. Killing it over and over is really bad and may get dev attention.
If the bot/account does not belong to you, your guild and you have no control over it, shoot away. Bot or not, it is another players account and therefor is not under your control. Valid kill, could just be a determined new guy (for all you know).
If shop bots are getting shot then it is up to the shop bot owner to sort this out.
If you think any different then you are insane or a part of the bot problem. Simple, and spotters bots are more of a problem than a guy having 1000's of extra player kills. One gets the advantage of seeing people in sectors, the other knows he is still lame and dies easily. Giving them advanced rails when they suck like they do does not help them improve, and they could buy them from me or anyone else anyway.

You can buy ADV-Rail from a shop-bot and use them to fight.
Or you can cheat pk stats, buy hundreds from any station and get rich exploiting static trade routes.
About the bus hunter badge: isn't EC-107 quite of a nice fighter to have access to at less than 4/4/4/4/4/?
Jump in the sector, shoot a player and go for your business is not the same as sitting in front a the station waiting from someone to exit and kill him again and again. If you think any different then you are insane or a part of the cheating team.

Lmao you guys are cheaters who keep does coding to exploit and spot other players , your using auto launch feature in ur plugin - which lets you undock in free ship everytime to spot others, if you're sad we are going to farm pks on it , stop using those nasty plugins ,
I will shoot them :D , and everyone should do it too.
I think inc needs to update something to make your remaining spotters useless.
