Best update ever.

Great update!!!
There's nothing worse than not being able to tell some cockpit how much of Richard cranium he is because of the chat filter. So good.
Ironically, "Richard" is not filtered.
Nice about the conquerable stations.

And there goes the utility of swarm turrets. Hooray.

er, I think this broke something with the stations. I took C-12, yet the turrets are still firing at me. I checked the IFF on the key, and is all good there. I can dock, but the turrets seem to disagree.
EDIT: Issue found. The Docking and IFF on the user key were off.
Faille.

If the delay of swarm turrets needs to be adjusted to make them useful, then that should be a separate thread. This is a welcome change because it was an exploit for the player to be able to fire them faster than the NPC counterparts.

Aye meridian, this was known to a few players, however it was never really exploited since they could not even target a foe.
Hopefully this paves the way for trident swarm turrets.
Yeah, Capital Swarm Turrets need to have their delay shortened now. It takes 45 seconds for them to load the next salvo...
People exploited that in Deneb all the time. It's just that everyone in Deneb goes there to fight, and if someone's doing that you can just blow up the turret. Most of the whiners stay in UIT/Grey.
This does stop me from firing my Gemini turret at the speed of Gatling though. Yay!

Awesome!
Did something important happen?
Not for several years now, no.
Self-controlled turrets is pretty game changing. A moth in the right hands can be a nasty gunboat now.
Yes ryan. Now you don't have to run an IRC client just to make sure you receive chat reliably. That seems pretty important to me. Finally being able to tell newbies all about my cockpit is also a nice touch.
I think we're going to need to teach the newbies about the difference between a nice touch and a Rin touch. :P
ugh... bad change to the swarm reloading. Outside of suicide it was one of the only semi-effective ways of defending tridents against enemy bombers. Really they should have an ammo count akin to the ones we can buy, and be able to be fired at the same frequency as the ones we can buy. How long it takes to refill a tube is up for debate, but to fire one round of swarms and wait 45 seconds until you can again? That's just stupid and makes it a weapon nobody will ever use. I look forward to the fixing of this in the summer of 2017.
