FYI, we just dropped the HP on the conquerable station turrets from 450k to 90k. I know the station turrets need a lot of other things, like a larger hittable mesh, and game mechanic changes, but hopefully this tweak will improve things a little for right now.
4 rags can take a station in 2 minutes. Will more turrets be added?
Umm, the present time I think I'll let the playerbase fight with the current setup and give me feedback after a few weeks of that. Having a lot of contention is probably not a bad thing. I'm sure there's some more nuanced balance we'll eventually find, but.. we'll see how things go as they are, for now.
Well i look forward to seeing how many new(and likely inactive) keys i have in the morning!
lol this is gonna be hilarious. You'll be able to come in with a full group. Flatline all the turrets and dock before anyone even arrives to repair.
On a very related note. Where do things stand with being able to destroy missiles? That will be the new defense if only it were possible.
This was such a much needed change. After months of having absolutely no station battles it's high time the content got revised to work more like a structured defense-of-supply lines scenario that the conq stations have the potential to be.

I hope it makes for lots of cool chaotic warfare :). And as far as further changes to this particular value, it's something I can now do myself and know right where it is, where prior to tonight I needed to have Ray track down where the value was being defined. So, future changes can be done quickly.
incarnate I solo took down a station in less than 30 minutes. this should not happen in any less than an hour. I vote increasing it to 150k armor for gauss turrets and 200k for missile.

Why? It may be easier to lose the stations now, but it is equally as easy to regain them. If someone tries to stop you, a battle ensues - which is good!
If you ask why not? I say because having tedium as a barrier to discouraging players from playing content is not what vendetta is about. More fighting is better than less fighting and it is now more viable for many player groups to participate in station conquering.
We also don't have to explain to new players why tiny turrets have nearly half the armour of a trident.

Some of the most fun gameplay to be had is around conquerable stations. I see it as Inc turning up the volume on VO's meta-game by reducing the conquerable station turret armor. Groups of players will have to maintain a more active presence if they want to hold a station.
Awesome update! Easier to conquer means more people willing to attack which means more combat. The same few who 'ninja' the stations in the odd hour will continue to do so. However, it makes it more realistic and fun to take a station with 5-6 defenders during peak. Glad to see great updates right when I re-sub!

Yeah, this is pretty broken now. Defense is irrelevant. Even with superior numbers, you can't hold the station during an attack. One bomber can whack 3 respawns in a single trip, so re-takes are a piece of cake.
There's really no reason to defend a station. Just come back when the owners aren't around and take it quick and easy on the off-hours or get in a fighter and try to scrape up some free PKs.

Our successful defense against superior numbers thrice now proves otherwise. A counter-attack can indeed be successful in forcing another countdown but unless you have an established and supplied force blockading the dock you still won't get in.
