- When in Turret-mode, the 'Press Activate to leave the turret' no longer fades away.
- Added the ability to invert the x/y axes of the Android HUD aiming touch region.
- The Android Controls Defaults button now properly resets the controls to the Android version.
- The Android virtual keyboard's Shift button now acts as a shift button instead of a shift-lock button.
- Updated Android's off-line flight tutorial to have the touch regions outlined in green instead of blinking.
- The Android updater displays errors if there is no internet connection or the initial download fails.
- Email verification notifications have been reworded to be more consistent.
- Email addresses need to be verified before support tickets can be submitted.
- We have also increased the user limit on the primary update server, so many more people should be able to connect before you start to see an update queue.
Many of these were much-needed short-term changes and fixes for the recently-release Android build. We have not forgotten the capship content, and we're in fact very much in need of finishing that up and releasing it in the near future.

Near future.
Is that two weeks, two months, two years?

Heh, patience.
In the meantime it is good to see the influx of baby xoomers. A few negative comments, but those who have a serious shot at vo seem to be enjoying themselves. Thanks to all the vets who have shown a positive attitude toward helping them .

You know it! :)

I'm hoping next week. I was aiming for this past week, but Motorola suddenly decided to invite us to demo in their booth at CTIA Wireless (and I had to make a decision immediately), which, given the timing with the ad on the Xoom and everything is probably a good opportunity for us to take. So then there was a lot of unplanned logistics and conference calls and excitement. It's been some time since I've had an entire week go remotely according to plan.
So, yes, let's hope for this coming week. We need to get it done ASAP for entirely boring bandwidth reasons.

Two years is near future for VO.
Oh god, predictable response. Let's replace him with a bot and be done with it.
This is Guild's moment to shine. They must take every opportunity that comes their way.

I was in Puerto Rico for a week on vacation and saw the Xoom ad with Vendetta in it a couple of bars. I was very shocked, but in a good way.
yea the Xoomers are all over the place ad it is good to see and even if they only do the 16 hours it is still a little bit of change in Guilds pockets so even having them just "Show up" is good.
However I am definitely feeling the need for content bug as this week I even took up mining....like wtf right?

The influx of newbs has been great to see, both Xoomers and people just checking out the game after seeing the add. A few jerks in their midst, and a few Eve zealots wanting to tell us how vo sucks, but on the whole a good crowd. Vet response has been the usual mix of hazing and helpful. It has been tricky advising xoom players on many interface issues for all the vets who've never touched a xoom. Further delays in shipyard stations were to be expected as you launched a new platform. Hopefully enough of them will see their bugs fixed and xoom-specific suggestions implemented, and appreciate they have joined a good crew.
As for the shipyard stations, you can delay 3 more weeks as I'm too busy this month to build my ships ;)
@CrazySpence: careful, mining is addictive. Oooo, look at the pretty beams! I can stretch them all over this rock! Ooooo progress bars! Look at all the +20's rolling by! Hope I can find top price for this load... hey! I can chat up 100 AND get xp at the same time! I wish I could put 5 beams on a moth XC! Post "Rag-a-Moth" stats on suggestions forum. Oooo pretty beams!

Don't worry - we'll still be here to destroy them when you finally do get around to building them.

Yes, I'm sure you'll still be here in the forums, but I'm not sure biting humor and harsh language will dent my hull...
Trust me, we'll all make an exception to pop trader cappies. Then we'll go back to having better things to do, having wrecked the last several months you've invested in this charade (which we spent drinking beer).
CTIA huh? Orlando or New Orleans?
I'm considering buying a ticket for $185 if it's in Orlando.
Okay, I'll be there on Wednesday the 23rd, wearing my Viper Guild T-shirt that says "Phaserlight". It's about a 3 hour drive from where I live... first time at a con of any sort. It would be cool if any other Vendetta players made it that day, we could all meet up.
That's pretty cool, Phaserlight.
