It'll will happen someday, most likely. Don't know when. The mechanics just aren't there yet. And if they said, "Hey, they're coming out in x months" and then they didn't because of issues, people would be mad. So they'll get here when they get here.

Yes, there will be player owned and controlled capships. We don't have a concrete date at this time, and our current efforts are on things like improving station conquest and various other aspects of the game. It is feasible for it to happen this year, but again, uncertain.
