I like how you can talk to the Marshalls even if their conversational range is rather limited and I've heard rumours that other NPCs will eventually respond to hails with something other than a string of binary.

So, I ask the VO community, what kinds of things would an NPC say if an NPC could say things?

They'd give deep and thoughtful insights to the meaning of existence, life, the universe and everything. Opening new avenues for debate and hopefully leaving the hailer more enlightened about their current state of affairs and the human condition...

Most likely though a pre-canned statement about a specific topic, perhaps nation related depending on where you go. Maybe drop a trade route hint or two?

There already is a thread in the Suggestions forum. Some very nice ideas were spotted there and Incarnate told he like it, so one day ...

In short, NPCs would inform you about local/nation news, local weather (ION storms, fogs), warn of KOS / dangerous persons they have seen passing through or who they have seen recently at all. Ask you for help with something, etc. In the other words, they should interact, not just reply.

Obviously they should all be based on Yarhar's AI.

I didn't post this in Suggestions because it's not a suggestion; just thought people could have fun playing around with the idea. We're all here to have fun, yes?
