This thread is a way to conveniently exchange information with other people who play VO. It's purpose is to encourage players to make social connections in other ways than just when playing Vendetta. Think of it as a database of contact info for anybody who feels comfortable giving it. If you want to share it, this is where you can post screennames, gamertags, AIMs, E-mail adresses, etc.
I'll go first. My XBL Gamertag is UNFORG1V4BL3. My AIM/iChat screenname is also UNFORG1V4BL3. My E-mail is Derice93@yahoo.com feel free to look me up if you ever wanna get in touch.

Two things I wanna ask you slime.
1. as a longtime member of this community, what do you think of this thread, I find it a little bit surprising that something like this didn't exist previously. Is there some particular reason for that, or had it just not happened yet?
2. What exactly is Steam? I know it's some sort of gaming download system, but is there also like, a chat system or something?
and snax, that's not helpful. It expired already.

"What is Steam?" I've never seen anyone ask that question. Ever.
Steam is a gaming platform, much like XBox Live. Most, if not all, of Valves games require a Steam account to play now and many, many other games are on board/are jumping on board.
As with XBL, it features community profiles, groups, a friends list, and is of course a platform for the distribution of games. Most multiplayer games that take advantage of steam also use it for its multiplayer match setups, etc.

Just so you know, these forums are visible without login. In fact, they're indexed by search engines... So all of your personal information just ended up on every spammer's list in the universe.
Cheers.
Cheers.
I don't really care, personally RL ;)
pwned
p.s that's why no one has done it before

They can edit it out. The spam bots and search engines won't likely get to it right away, so it's not too late.
I think there's a facebook group, but I don't know how active it is. I'm not in it. I pretty much keep contact through these forums and that's enough, but I also have a blog.
My posted e-mail is basically my "omg use it for anything that can get spammed" account so no problemo.
Stuff happens, I wander about the net in a generally nebulous fashion. I turn up on google earth ffs . Like some ancient monument .
Ok , so I am an ancient monument. Simple really , If I'm in game I'm here. If I'm not in game and you own a real ship , phone me , Otherwise don't ...........

Yeah there is a Facebook group for Vendetta. No one's ever in it tho.

Article about data farming et al.
In there, it says that apparently you don't need much to pinpoint a person. Granted, none of the users in here gave away birth dates or zip codes. My point is, though, if you don't want to be found, burn your computer which you only ever used offline and shredder your hard drives, build a rocket, freeze yourself and travel into the unknown (without anyone knowing, and not necessarily in that order). Then they won't find you. Everything else is just pretend paranoia.

Finding me is fine.. Just be prepared to either stare in wonderment, or fail to remove me from my location.. Either is fine. :p
