I'm not quite sure how to begin this... I've really had a great time playing Vendetta for such a long time (more than a year now). I've seen it grow from 2 sectors, DM and CTF, into a vast, 19-sector universe. I've seen little Centurions, Hornets, and Vultures picking up homing missile powerups to Centurions flying around with "tachyon" cannons, Hornets boasting 4 "sunflare" rocket-launchers, and Vultures armed with twin "gauss" cannons. I've now seen the appearance of our first capital ship. Vendetta certainly has grown.
With growing also comes the pains associated with such. We've seen the rise of pirates, as well as those who attempt to crack down on such behavior. We now have many guilds, from TFV, to the Erinyes, to the Serco Fighters.
I leave not because of any fault of Vendetta, or any fault of the community, which has quite a time debating the features of Vendetta. I am leaving now because of me. I've found myself drawn more and more (this is a good thing for the devs, bad for me) to playing Vendetta, and find my time being spent here. I am preparing to go into the military very soon, and cannot afford to sit on my butt all day blasting away at spaceships. It's better spent exercising or running.
I'll probably come around in several months and see how things have progressed, I hope to see UncleDave and Phoenix going at it in corvettes, if not battlecruisers. I hope to see player-owned stations. I hope to see much. I wish you all great playing, & remember to lighten up with Arolte and HSR, it's a game peeps! Longtime players, you know who you are, it was great getting to know you from 2.7-2.8 until now.

I'm training, I probably will go next summer, but want to ace the PT test to do Force Recon (the spec ops of the Marines), and Vendetta is currently affecting my training.

Good luck. We'll miss you, Me and Uncle Dave will set up a battle in corvettes or frigates for you to watch when you return. My advice for the Marines, Don't get a bullet in the ass.
