How come we have nothing??
Devs and players...you always talk about balencing ships and other things, but what about the nation strenth??
I speak as a red. We have nothing as a nation, not a good ship and from that no newbies. the strongets ship belongs to the Itani nation as we all know very well.
after the black market was mooved to 18 (which is not a bad thing) and after the promithuis was thrown down from grace to no use at all, we became a nation with nothing special to offer. All the newbies went away from the Secro to the Itani and mabye even some of the big aces (so it will be easyer to get a vulk, but i am not sure of that) we became the weakest nation in vendetta with nothing to offer. you can see that at the 'nation ranking' where we have the smallest score, money, players and not a single cap since 3.2.9 came out.

they cant stay the way they are...and now dont tell me that it's being an exelent pilot. each nation must have a something special about it, weather it's a ship, a weapon or any other thing you can think of!!!

I really don't know why people whine about the valk all the time. I nearly never use it. Vult is just fine, too and having the prom is really a big advantage when trading. Equiped with mines there is little risk you get raided by pirates. Its much stronger than the blue atlas.

Actually, all the nations are about tied for pirates, with a slight nod for more pirates on gold. That's my experience, at least. But I haven't been pirated by anyone except bots for a LONG time.

There's no motive to play anymore for most of the people I know (who incidentally play on Serco). We're all sick and tired of being outgunned and outmanned and repeatedly harassed. It's easier to just not play than actually fight it.

The reds being harassed are those who pirate busses and noobs. There are a very few professional pirates like Grim Battol who give you a fair chance to surrender your cargo peacefully (and you can keep the rest). Nobody is really angry with those kind of pirates. But I really dislike red griefers and noob killers and I attack them at sight. If that discourages them from playing, great! Goal achieved.

I haven't been on in awhile, so I don't know just how powerful the new prom is. THEY MOVED THE BLACK MARKET TO 18!?!?!?! I've never been there, have to find it sometime. I have all the ships anyway. Anyway, if you want to be a trader be gold bacause the Maurader is a superb trading vessel (or at least was, last time I played about a month ago.), and we're near 15, so its fairly easy to make lots of money. I'll have to get up-to-date for tommorrow's fireworks.

Agreed, Sinking ship seems like an apt comment to the state of the Serco (not so domination more dominated :/ ) dominion. Proms really are nasty now (i didn't hold much truck with them before though), most of are best pilots are pirates and I think this is why it's awkward for reds to trade in safety.

We haven't the power to get up as everyone despises us and shoots on sight. We have nothing to offer new players as they get zapped for being red, so they join whichever team keeps killing them to avoid being griefed.

These are sad pages in the serco history, perhaps things will pick up, but who knows...

May i add that serco nation is now really dead.
very few ppl log as serco during the day. There's no chance to cap since there are no more than 3 or 4 cappers available.
There's no teamwork because there is no team.
Serco is a good nation for pirates because of one reason only:
there are much more traders on blue and gold :D
Very few traders/players in red. Sometimes i look in the active players list and see no players at all in serco.

the prom is not good for trading. The gold ship is the best for trading. The gold ship is great and can be in use as a fighter. i saw some players kill aces in valks with that ship.
also, right now i see more and more pirated and griefers in blue nation, bacause as you know most pirates like the valks.
don't forget about Phoenix and Homestar, which are worse than any pirate/griefer that red nation has.

Hey, I still actively defend red whenever gold caps. Not sure why, but I do.

You realize the reason people kill Reds on sight is because of the rampant piracy. If you want to get more people in your nation, you can try to control yourselves a bit. Whenever I'm in a sector with a Red I am always on my guard. I don't have that reaction with blues in the sector. It's just because people always have bad experiences with reds. In short, it's your own damn fault.

UncleD used proms before the prom got nerfed. Now he uses only valks.

Re PPS:
Icarus is as bad as Phoenix.
UncleD is not a griefer, he's a pirate. Homestar is.
don't forget you had janlle, DaAvanger, Muppet (some might be the same person) all use valks for killing poor newbies.

there are good pilots in the secro, but what can secro give?!

there must be something done about it!!!

secro is a nation with nothing to offer!

the gold give their players the marauder in sectors 3 and 6,
the inati give their players the vulkarie in sectors 1 and 4,
the secro can give no good ship since the promythius has been shrinked from it's greatness to just another ship.
there is nothing special about it!!! so what if it has armor.
all you can benefit from it's armor it countered by the fact that it stirs like a cow.

And one wonders why a lot of old timers aren't playing anymore. This thread is a perfect example as to why we are leaving. :( AHh well.. I feel sorry for the devs. I'm not saying that their dream is being hurt or is dying but for the community they've inherited...

Janelle aka Homestar Runner aka whatever, I've been around the Internet community since 1987 so I THINK I have been around the block a few times in online games. :) And no, when it gets this bad, I don't bother to "roll with the punches" anymore, I just get annoyed and leave. Ain't gonna waste my time getting more and more frustrated.
