If you are on a Mac you don't need administrator privileges.

Linux installs Vendetta without admin/root privs...
Soooo.... Windows? Ask your friendly neighbourhood admin!

Ask somebody to archive their VO installation and send the archive to you. Then unextract and run. It should work.

I was about to say "Good! Last thing we need is more of this forum spam in-game."

I was about to agree with Cunjo.

Ahhhh. MOP seems to be acclimating to the VO forums just fine... and to think I was worried. :)

I guess the installer is not well-tested for non-admin users. Personally, I don't like windows not allowing installation for stuff.

Personally, I don't like Windows, but I may have to use it anyway.

I feel your pain, LeberMac... I have to work using Windows daily.

It is common practice for administrators to restrict installations on corporate computers. Try installing it on your home computer.
Mar 30, 2007 Aleksey link
Oops, I was wrong, you can't copy VO and run without installing
Mar 30, 2007 Lung Jin link
Shouldn't this be in the Windows, OsX, or Linux forums? Bump!

oops my bad, thought i put this on the "Bugs" forums. and for some odd reason i cant get my home comp to install it either... it says error *whatever it was i don't remember* insufficient privileges.
this may be some thing from my last computer when i was 15, u know when my comp guy was the admin and my mom always didn't trust me on the net... i had him copy the XP drive to my new intel and he might not have switched the controls back... oh well imma fix it today or at least attempt to.

[EDIT] i was thinking thatr if the devs can make and or find a program to bypass those admin blocks

If we could make a program to bypass the privileges, then there'd be no point to the privileges at all.
