Another new sector release. Lots of other stuff *is* in the works, sorry it hasn't been real visible lately. But, on the upside, this sector redux work is going to have a lot of impact on.. everything else (redistribution of ores, changes to economy, changes to newbie gameplay, changes to.. everything). In the meantime, I hope Dau L10 is seen positively.
Dau L-10 receives the prestigious JK Seal of Approval.
Wait, isn't that the sector in Dau that was already cool, the one with the roid station?
No, Rogue, that was Dau G-11. Really looks nice in there, Incarnate--Itan J-11 looks pretty good too. Can't wait to see what you come up with for the other sectors. :)
Oh, cool then. :-)
(I guess I ought to take a look... will edit this post after I do so...)

Hide and seek in the big roid! Oh those lucky newbs...
I don't really know how to say this without sounding sarcastic, but I honestly feel that this individual attention to sectors and whatnot is the sweetest thing since the new stations. Honest. And not in any bad way either. Love'it.
!!!!
MOAR!!
MOAR!!
genka.. not trolling... ZOMG! ITS ARMEGEDDON!! RUN
the rock distribution looks a bit "unnatural" there ... or is it supposed to serve a certain purpose?
Yes, it is very chilly in Wisconsin. But, um, why does one of the asteriod formations resemble a part of the female anatomy?
...because the devs are guys?
That's kinda ironic, sarahanne, because the first thing I heard someone say when they entered the sector was a comparison to a particular part of the male reproductive system...
in a room with a couple guys, working on a project that has nothing to do with female anatomy, i am surprised this type of thing hasnt happpened prior.
It wasn't on purpose! I had just been doing circles around stations horizontally, and thought it would be interesting to do a double arc on a different axis. It was actually going to have three axes, but then I was worried it might be too much of a barrier for bots (god knows they have enough trouble docking as it is). I guess people will read into it what they want, they say that stuff about the washington monument too ;).
The hollow roid with the ice is going to be a new newbie zone, with training drones and a little mining station, but we couldn't get that all to work in time for release.

Well, I rather like the overall style and feel of the sector . Bit of an fps drop from certain angles which may be an issue for folk with less powerfull comps.
I would also be tempted to have a few small roids seeded with rare ores , not enough to make it a serious mining sector , just enough to give new players something interesting to find .

Ugh. I even looked and couldn't find something obscene.
But hey, another use for the sector 13 roid is always good! I love the sector 11/8-ish setup of that area out there.

I agree with Genka. If there's anything VO needs more of, it's individual attention rather than efficient, sweeping script-generated content. It warms up the universe a lot. I generally like how the new roid field looks, except that the ice yos are all equidistant from each other. This is a small concern, though.
Also, I couldn't see any anatomy, no matter which way I looked at it.

Some people see "anatomy" in anything.
I hopped on with a UIT in a free bus: only problem is that it's a natural universe segment that looks very manmade. Otherwise, fuckin' awesome.
