Now this may be a little premature, but with the recent hype about the TPG cap ship I was wondering what sort of levels will capitol ships require?
Mainly I ask this so that those of us who are interested in pursuing capitol ships can get a head start on acquiring the necessary levels.

Unless you mean a bunch of peoples added up levels those levels are impossible to aquire. (Without the help of devs/guides).

I used the Levels of the Nemesis for the license requirements.
lmao, the devs have roughly level 20, and thats with cheats. no, its going to be at a max around 12-14. anything else will just be an insane amount of leveling, and as the devs have said, being bored = not fun.
During the summer I had this brainstorm that crafting and capships would be linked together. In order to get a caship you'd have to take a guild mission like "Place ship order" you'd then have to work as a guild to supply parts to the station. The supplies would entail a long list of varied materials and you;d find it difficult to complete if you didn't have many active players working on the project.
I also had a vision of Players flying all over trying to find the "heated massage captain's chair" widget so they could launch the ship.

And now for a few notes on your list:
•All that scrap seems excessive...maybe cut that by half and up everything else up
•I would expect more XiRite Alloy if the entire ship is to be armored with it
•The Plasma/Ion cores account for the weapons, but what about the engines?
•Only [i150cu VanAzek? For Reactor Fuel alone I would expect 200cu.
•Silicate? Some would be needed, granted, but VisMetal would be better.
•27.8 mil? Screw decimals and make it an even number.
•What about Carbonic Ore? (ie for all that carbon nanotube electric wireing)
•Rare Ores? (even in small quantities)
•Ishik Ore? (for the odds & ends)\
•Might as well add a cu of Samoflange, a hydrospanner, and an NSI to the list! =P
And finally:
•40/40/40/10/10 is indeed the level of the HAC, but the TPG cappy is a Light Destroyer. Furthermore, look at the BP bots; they have rediculously inflated liscense levels when compared to even the most exclusive cent variants. And only the absolute largest guilds could possibly have th cummulative combat levels to attain the nescessary 40--shure this promotes teamwork, but most of the time, most of the members in large guilds are inative and are ,therefore, not pulling thier weight when it comes down to construction.
On a final note, /me speed-dials Broma-ba Slick and tells him that he might want to consider stockpiling the listed ingredients.

Okay, I give. I was working from memory. I may have forgotten a few ingredients.
I'll be glad to swap capship recipes with you. I'll go dig out my grandma's molasses TPG ship recipe and I'll print it out for everyone. Why don't you give us your southwestern TPG and beans recipe?

As a note, you don't actually pilot capital ships. Think of it as more of a puzzle game of communication. Every capital ship is piloted by an untrained emu, in order to move the capital ship forward you need to teach the emu the concept of forward, over many years your emu pilot will reach the point where it can pilot your ship perfectly. But beware! All emu pilots tend to flap the capital ship's wings and run away in a hurry.
