There is only one customer review, so I thought a few would like to add their 2¢

"The Serco (a race of cyborgs), are fighting against the Itani (some Nazis that ended up as hippies). In addition, there are smaller nations, the Union of Independent Traders (to which I belonged) "
Haha I love it.

I like this part:
"In summary, if you are looking for an MMORPG that doesn't require you to spend hours wandering around killing bunnies to level up, this is a good choice. If you are looking for an inexpensive space shooter, Vendetta Online is for you. If you want a deep, immersive story, try something else.
Pros
• Inexpensive
• Good arcade action
• Well-designed missions
• Strong sense of freedom
Cons
• Little in the way of story
• Too few players online
• Space station portion is underdeveloped"

It hurts to see people suggest that PvP is best left consensual.
This review hurts. :C

Don't fret Genka,
That guy was just a pansy :)

That review is quite old... look at the screenshots! Their reviewer's character, Nibs, took those screenshots back when we had the old font and no mass display on the HUD. The review also fails to mention CtC, Capital Ships, or the Hive. It'll be more interesting to read reviews after Incarnate et al do their "rerelease" (capital ships, HUD revision, full Hive, etc).
PvP IS best left consensual.
Go back to EverQuest. Please.

In Space... you are NEVER safe.
If you don't want to engage in PvP... don't be in the right place at the wrong time.

Moth + FC + Mines means for me PvP IS consensual!
MWAHAHAHAHAHA!
Once we get skins for the ships, I am SO putting a Carebear on my Moth!

That review was not that great but what I thought was funny was when he said that the "mission" were well created. Which we all know is not true, thus the new mission editor. But hey, any publicity that gets someone do download the 8 hr trial and give it a shot is a good thing.

"review"
he probably like VO but john just ruined his "review" and Vo's publicity lol (new players are reading the forum)
nice job.

Nibs showed up on the first days of open beta. IIRC I showed him around a bit. :P
"Comets and other icy bodies are nicely graceful"
We have comets?
Or is he talking about an exploding cap ship?

Maybe he's talking about Gauss cannons fired at him. They kinda look like small comets...
Mind you, comets would be a cool game addition. A navigation hazard. Imagine a couple of rogue comets flying around planets in a sector (aka, literally making circles in a sector's grid).
Dang fast.
One blow of it and yer gone.
It keeps on moving.

follow-up: Inside Mac Games also posted a Vendetta Beginner's GUide:
http://www.insidemacgames.com/features/view.php?ID=370
From racing through the guide, I think most of the important topics have been mentioned and discussed (for new players), so it seems a good read. Might be worth adding to the links section of some page or other...

comets really don't move all THAT fast. I can see them taking maybe a month or more to move through a system, maybe causing a natural ion-storm effect (you have to go around it and the tail or else you're dragged out of jump, and there'd be some sort of foggy haze to the sector instead of the ion storm sparkles.
My reply would be :
Wow, I saw Toshiro ingame today :) and this guy kinda teached me Pvp, by killing me lots till I won won! :)
Vendetta pwns, and it will pwn more soon :) But i'll wait till the devs say that before I review it :)
But it is :
STFU.

I killed you lots? I find it difficult to believe that, having always been only a mediocre fighter (most people who fought me can attest to that). I did show a few new players the ropes, but combat, rarely.
