Services up, plus web interface

Services is up, and it looks to be staying that way for a while. Also, those of you with accounts can now view your account info (with logs!) at:
http://services.tejat.net
Your browser may complain about a self-signed SSL certificate. If possible, tell it to remember that certificate, then it will only alert you again if it changes.

Umm, how do I deposit money into my account?

I suppose we register the username & password for the web interface with the services bot in-game? It's in Odia?

Can someone give me their username and password so I can steal your money? No? Hey, I thought maybe it was worth a shot. You know, to ask politely and stuff...

Weee *was first person to use web interface, I think*

MGI go to Latos N15 and give the money to Services, and its added

Beolach: Correct

Arolte: I'm pretty sure that password has nothing to do with withdrawing money. Its just for viewing the web version.

Solra: Any chance of getting like Transfer and a mass Groupauthorize commands online?

So Smittens did we get our money back? >:) Hehe.

/me misses his cable modem alot. Wish I could be ingame...

Smittens: For reasons that to anyone working with web security should be clear, you won't be able to make changes to your account online, only view information on it.
LeberMac: Yes, you did. And, there's... rather a lot.
Beolach: It's in Latos N-15. Your username is your character's name, and you set the password with the 'password' command.
Smittens again: Actually, the first person to use the web interface was me. ;)

Solra again: Well obviously...

i wonder how much money any one account has put in Services hands. I also wonder if Services could handle interest on a very large sum of money.

We have close to 100 million credits in total, counting all single and group accounts. And yes, it can.

How about publishing a vendetta "rich list" of the top 50 richest players? this might give miners & traders an opportunity to show off!
Jul 25, 2005 Solra Bizna link
I'll add to the Services front-page a list of the top 10 fattest single accounts and top 3 fattest [non-hidden] group accounts.
-:sigma.SB
Edit: Done. I decided to do top 25 singles instead.

Any chance you could move the webserver to port 443 or 563 rather than 302, Solra? The proxy server at my work won't allow SSL connections on any ports except 443 (HTTPS) or 563 (NNTPS).
Jul 27, 2005 Solra Bizna link
Done. Originally I had to have it on port 302 to avoid conflicting with my other SSL pages.

If my bank posted a public list that showed me among its customers, much less implied or confirmed that I was among the largest depositors, I'd leave it immediately, of course. Why would I want to use a bank that put my name on its front webpage as a player with lots of money?
Jul 31, 2005 Solra Bizna link
Why wouldn't you?

Wee...go IA!

Now I just need everyone to stop coming back, and I'll be the richest player in VO! (unless someone's broken my last count of Martin's total, which they probably have)
