Icarus is still around, somewhere. LeathaL left when the game went pay. Arolte's on one of his haituses, Phoenix is very much around, and after spending a long time Serco has returned to play an Itani, IIRC.

Shape's a good player and a dueller of the new school, and currently holds the #5 duellist spot.

People are still people, and Lin is still a woman.

Rockets aren't as fun anymore. You can still kill me in Sedina B8 as I try to make a dual flare valk work if you like, Camps ;P

The cap ships don't give prizes because they are merely a test right now that people find fun.

People don't like being showed that they aren't a good fighter?

I'll be ingame as "Defense Ship 4"--I got a1k0n to change my char to that, and since we actually have treadmilling to do, WotS, SF1, and SirCamps won't be ingame. I might use SF1 if Itani get too boring, but no promises...

Besides the fact that they're still a test, the reason you don't get XP for killing a capship is that it's ridiculously easy to kill one unless it's protected by players. Wait until they can hold their own against multiple attackers and then... maybe, but the devs have said they want the things to require player support.

Notice how skillfully I avoided mentioning Shape in my post! Clearly, my skills at avoiding topics which are sure to bring plenty of fun flaming are far superior to yours!

(That isn't to say I consider Shape on his own to be anywhere near important enough to generate flames. When combined with my opinion of him, however...)

Man, just when I think I'm getting used to this game with its myriad of people and their multiple alts, more old-school vets come in and I feel even n00bier than usual.
