For future reference, here are a few rules to abide by:
1. if two or more people post responses to a previous word, the valid one is the earliest post. For example:

 You'll notice that Spider posted a response 2 minutes  earlier  than RelayeR. Therefore, the next person should  post a response to "wolverine" not "stars."
2. If someone posts a phrase as a response, the next person must  respond to that entire phrase, not just a part of it.

Wolverine : Rogue

Rogue : Amoeba

Amoeba : organism

And remember, the first word was penguin!
