Songs for VO

Dec 20, 2006 Professor Chaos link
Here's an idea, I don't know if a thread like this has been started before. I know there's a thread "what's your favorite song," this one is for what songs you think fit in VO. There's no rule for style/era, if you think Rimsky-Korsakov wrote something good (Flight of the Bumblebee=Hive?) or if you prefer Metallica or Hendrix or Björk, it doesn't matter. I have a lot of songs I think will fit, but it's more because they're my favorite songs than that they actually make sense in context. Here's what I'm curious of all your opinions on:

What song is appropriate as a general theme song for Vendetta Online?

and

What song is appropriate for each of the major factions (Serco theme, Itani theme, UIT theme)?

Also, what other songs aren't "main theme" material, but would fit on a soundtrack? This is entirely hypothetical, so don't consider copyright or anything. This won't be an actual soundtrack, it's just for information because I'm interested. Just keep in mind the context, and style/lyrics of the music as it would fit in that context.

Thanks.

Genka: WTF (by which I mean: Wednesday Thursday Friday?!?) I like that Russian song, I'm not a fan of rap but that whatever language mp3 was interesting. If you tell me who does the song and what it's called, I can put it on the list. I cut and pasted the Russian, but while the characters show up fine on my Mac, the VO boards only show question marks. So, what's that one, also. Help me out here! In the music not in English vein, Feuer Frei! by Rammstein is a good one, as is Seeman (also Rammstein, but their version isn't very good; I mean the Apocalyptica cover sung by Nina Hagen, which is amazing).

The song is called "Boom" and is by the band "TT-34"
Edit: oh, and I only listen to it when chatting peacefully with peoples. Otherwise, it's the song from youtube, which happens to be "Trava u doma" by the vocal-instrumental ensemble "Zemliane."

Only one song for me. To listen to anything else and play, read about, or think of VO would be infidelity:

One More Astronaut, by I, Mother Earth
