It's been a long time coming but once again, the gloves are off. Who has the guts to compete, the will to survive, the determination to push through the pack and take home the glory. etc etc :P

There will be a BLAK sponsored race, The Deneb Run, on Sunday at around 1:00am gametime (According to my /time) in the game. This is the same time as the last race.

Rules will be:
1) Racers must race from Odia M14 through Deneb heading clockwise back to Odia M14.
2) Race starts in Odia M14 near the station.
3) Contestants must be within 100m of me before the start
4) No shooting before I start the race.
5) You die and you're out (so no /exploding)
6) All weapons and ships allowed.
7) First person to get back and dock at Odia M14 wins the first prize. (1 million creds)
Second person back gets 600k
9) Third person gets 400k

Put your name down if you're interested. I won't start it with less than 6 racers.

So now, who can beat _ghost_'s time of 26:55.

Another good race, though not as fast or close as some preious races. Special kudos to The Algae who attempted the race with a Heavy Battery on a mk 3 Vult and to Racer for flying a warthog. The Most Geographically Embarrassed award goes to M'at who took a detour though Helios. Hopefully in the next race UIT will make an appearance with their Territorial Defender super booster. Till then, have fun.

It would be interesting to workout a handicap based on ping to server.

Could we run a sector based race? Maybe use grouped players or cargo balls as waypoint markers? 20 laps around Sedina B-8 or something could be cool.

Haha, well we could make people run laps in the maze, they would have to be fast in the tubes but also fast getting in and out of the tubes. In addition to the fact that it will make it much easier to kill people in the tubes.

Though there will have to be refs at both ends to make sure no one doubles back, and that every one does the needed laps.
