Since the release of Vendetta Online is coming in a few weeks, I think testers have a responsibility to spread the word about vendetta.

Advertising is quite expensive and for a small company I doubt GS can afford to do much of it. So I think testers should do what they can to advertise/ promote the game. Gaming conventions or game related forums are good places to do it.

Linux and Mac users should be able to find a good receptive audience to Vendetta since it supports both with equal footing with windows.

Talk at school, talk at work, tell your mom, tell your dad. Tell the whole wide world about Vendetta.

Part of our jobs as testers is to help make Vendetta a success, we can surely help in this by spreading the word around!

Don't know about anyone else but got an email from Incarnate asking me to come back as a tester. :) I'm ASSUMING they did a mass email to all of us. Sounds like we'll be ready for open beta testing SOON.

Hello Everyone. At one time or another you signed up for the game
Vendetta Online, or its precursor, the Vendetta Test. You also must have
checked the "send me information about Guild Software products" to have
received this.

Vendetta is going gold at the end of this week, and will be in
stores in October. Right now we really need help in testing our latest
Updater software (the downloading and patching program we use to keep the
game up to date on everyone's machines). We're also going to be giving
some special benefits to our older tester accounts, to if any of you have
an interest in the final game, now is a great time to get involved and
help us test it.
So, getting back to our immediate needs, if anyone would be
willing to update to the latest version of the game and give it a whirl,
that'd be a big help. If you have any problems or bugs, please post them
on the Bugs forum or submit them via the web bug reporter (or application
bug reporter, in the event of a game crash). Thanks much.

Ctishman: Most likely, no. Read: gold. doesn't that mean release "ready"? maybe they want it to be ready before the stress test.

i wonder... do the devs have direct contact with the folks at inside mac games?
if not, maybe we should relay the info to them?

Good thought, but please let the devs handle their own public relations, at least at first.
