Maybe a switch ( Universal | Nation | System | Local ) , or as another drop-down siding category.

I wonder why?

Aren't the missions sorted so that the local missions are already at the top of the list? I'm not saying it wouldn't be nice to have the option, but I think the devs have better things to do with their time.

Not quite Phaser, there's usually a bunch at the top of the list that are local only, then some non-local, then hive skirmishes, more non-local, then something else (escorts maybe? I forget). Anyway, I've found it much more difficult to find the mission I'm looking for in the aggregate list, and a local toggle would help tremendously.

We have a "sort by distance" concept that's in development (originally intended for initial release, but we couldn't get it in there in time), which would basically achieve the same thing. You'd click at the heading of the column for the stations, and it would sort them by nearest-at-the-top, then click again and it sorts from furthest-at-the-top, etc.

Actually, Inc, that might be even more confusing when comparing Trade vs Hive missions for example. How would you sort HS or BP or BS by distance? In those, the final sector is the target. Will you consider those to be startable always from the current station? That's not so good an idea.

And I think most players will catch on to "local only" as a concept a bit quicker..... Its just not the same.

for some reason Incarnates response reminds me of how my kids act when they have done something bad.....
John, Did you deprecate the code? How many times do we have to tell you not to deprecate stuff .....

Filtration options are good. Even with sorting, sometimes it is just easier for the brain to process if you just hide the extra stuff.
