Conq stations in Deneb
Why not put a conq station in Deneb? It's not a conq station like the others in the game, where you have keys, and have to kill turrets and control the docking bay, but a regular station. Only difference is, it changes its flag depending on who won the system.
Serco wins Deneb this cycle? Then for all the next cycle, it's a Serco station. Itani win Deneb this cycle? Then it becomes an Itani station. You wouldn't have to add nation specific ships, just flip a switch to make the station and the guards go from Red to Blue and back again depending on who controls Deneb.
This could be a crafting station for the Serco and Itani variants of the Trident we keep hearing about - meaning these variants couldn't be built without players supporting the war effort.
In addition to any crafting missions, another cool feature for this might be that the station offers nation-specific ships, cargo, add-ons, and weapons depending on who controls it. Serco controls it? Then it sells Serco ale, SkyProms, SVG's, and the like. Itan controls it? Then it sells meditation crystals, Valks, and IBG's, and the like.

Very good idea. Serco players would be able to dock and set a home there, so they will not be forced to use the wormhile from GR to Deneb all the time. That really sucks - Itani can make just one jump. Adding conquerable stations would solve this problem.
But what would happen, if the station where a player set his home would be taken by the opposite nation? Would he be trapped there? This issue must be solved too.

The devs could set a safeguard that Itani or Serco homed at these stations would be re-homed to either the Serco barracks in GR or one of the Itani stations already in Deneb. Simple fix?? Dunno...
EDIT
As it is now, people can't set home at the existing conq stations, so they wouldn't be able to set home at these ones, either; fixed?

+1 Excellent idea
Not really a "Conquerable Station", instead more like a "Trophy Station". Similar to CtC/N3s, who wins this week will own that station next week. There are more advantages/benefits for Serco to own that station, since they have a beachhead in Deneb.
-Every time the Owner Changes:
(Note owner only changes on early monday, and IF another nation wins the Deneb War "competition")
--Every time owner changes, ALL pilots homed there are re-homed at their respective capital.
--Present guards warp away, new guards warp in
Caveats:
-Stored items Alternatives:
---Keep stores or
---Loot Stores.
-UIT pilots: (Those who joined Serco/Itani military are dealt like native Serco/Itani)
---Are only affected by his/her own standing respective to present owner (Admire+ required).
---Only those in who joined owner's Military forces can dock.
-Serco/Itani Enemy PoS
---Standing is ignored and only owner nation natives can dock
---Standing is respected, and enemies with Admire/PoS standing can dock
My votes are, since the other alternatives are too hard for me:
-Items are kept indefinitely, but unreachable to enemies, (foster re-conquest!)
-UIT pilots only need Admired+ standing with present owner (inclusive to UIT as neutrals)
-Serco/Itani must own station to dock, standing ignored. (foster engaging border war)
So, UIT pilots can dock/manufacture any time, except those who joined S/I military, but Serco/Itani pilots only can dock when their nation owns station, even if 3PoS. More reasons to fight the war
Another approach, already proposed before, is to make ALL Deneb stations conquerable, but only by military personnel. Deneb Stations would remain owned by a nation (Serco or Itani), and would be harder to conquer than regular ConqStations, like having capships defending it.
--->
This can be progressed to a "staged conquest", when all stations are made conquerable, but only "middle" being in dispute. Thus, allows a full-month battle for ownership of Deneb, with frequent ownership changes. Something as
Serco---O---S1---S2----S3----S4---O---Itani
To win Deneb, Serco must win 4 weeks in a row, sequentially conquering S1...S4. But if Itani wins one week, Serco loses last station won.

OP suggested hundred times, but +1
Conq stations in deneb has always been the plan. Before we can do that, however, we need to figure out what the hell is wrong with writing Deneb scores to the database. The bug has been persistent and bizarre and is still being worked on. Once deneb gameplay is at least stable, then I'll look at doing this, among other things.
