Customs Patrol Mission
I figured I might as well throw this out here.
Customs Patrol
When a player is in good standing with a major faction, I propose that a certain "customs patrol" mission be made available. Simply put, you are given a scanner, and a warrant to search ships within the system the player accepted the mission in.
The objective would be to scan those NPC traders we see all the time for contraband. Most of them would be clean, but others would be carrying illegal goods. If an NPC has "soft" contraband, then they'd merely be fined and forced to jettison their cargo. On rare occasions, they might attempt to flee, and the player would have to chase them down. NPCs with "hard" contraband would always be KOS, and the player would invariably be ordered to blow them to oblivion.
Players would be paid commission based on their work; the more targets the player fine and the more runners they destroy, the more they get paid. Letting a runner escape could have a wide range of penalties, but most likely result in a faction hit and a docking of pay.
Comments? Criticism? Anything you wish to declare?

I have nothing to declare, oh and you don;t really NEED to look in my suit case. I don;t even know what cigars are... <_< (RL experience minus a few words or so :P)
I like the idea, kinda like the opposite of the old pirate missions. Not sure how hard that would be to write though.
