strange lag
well, this evening was devastating due to 30second lag spikes appearing across the game. appearantly it was in the server too, not clients.
Not sure what to say, people couldn't dock, got killed by bots who weren't on screen, and hit asteroids that weren't there.

Around 10:30AM EST this morning I was stuck in the Divinia G6 docks for about two mintutes. Could not undock, chat, or interact with the station. I logged off with /quit and then could not log back on successfully until the lag was over.
I am getting this lag too, seems to have come from the new patch.
Now I can't logon. At all. After several minutes.
I can log on, but gameplay is like i have never seen before... I have to say im not usually a lag sufferer here, but the lag was that bad i had the time to press activate to exit a storm, turn round and fire at the bots stuck in time chasing me (with no effect) so "what a great time for screenies" nope, two seconds later the bots come alive, im nowhere near the exit point, but i warp anyway..... now i also cannot get back on :(
I noticed a pattern. I seemed to have lag when I was jumping into a storm sector. I died 3 times and called it quits for awhile.
I was noticing the lag spikes while docked. Chat would freeze up for a minute or two at a time or the tabs would become unresponsive, then it all would come flooding back. When I tried to do a few trade missions, at times I would have to wait 30 seconds to a minute to warp or jump. I am not in Europe, I'm in Texas. This is not normal network latency and it doesn't seem like it's my client given the number of people complaining about it in chat. Don't know if it's due to the latest patch but things were fine before that lastest update.
Probably just a bit of broken code on it the server, it's happened before...
Anyone here remember the time in 3.2 i think it was when we'd get 59 second lag spikes from time to time because a1 forgot to finish something?
It was no big deal, and was fixed immediatly. the same will probably happen here

Lagging so bad that i cant even unequip my std bus!
171 players on line at the moment, not as many as last night. About a hundred more with no lag previously so it looks like they broke something.

Indeed, Urza. It's happened before and it will happen again. That's why we are here. Everyone needs to keep their cool, not flood chat with expletives and, above all, don't try to bot while the server is hiccupping.
