so I haven't played very long, but I've experienced about 5 times now, the server will lag out for about 30 secs while I'm fighting something. I'll be able to hit the bot, but do no damage. and then when the server finally catches up, I'm dead cause the bot has been hitting me the whole time the server has lagged. while this isn't a big deal when you have a free ship, it's beyond annoying to lose all your gear and ship due to forces beyond your control.

am I the only one experiencing this? as of now, it's frequent enough to prevent me from playing (ie I'll make enough money to have a good ship + weaps and then it'll lag out and kill me again). sigh.

yea there seems to be some issues, we just have to wait till the devs come online to see what's going on

Mileage seems to vary for different people - when some people lag, I'm fine, but other times the whole damn server just grinds to a halt.

Given how uneven it is, I'm suspecting it's an ISP problem for the server. GuildSoft may want to investigate what their ISP is doing with their connection.

I've been having similar problems. Been killed at least 3 times now by the lag. Also when the dreaded lag monster attacks, I can't jump or dock!

Gone from about 50k of money, down to 2k! *8-(

Well that's why they call it a stress test. I'm going to stop playing with my principle character until the problem is fixed. I'm tired of bussing around after dying from lag and losing all my money.

And botting is now impossible.. One second they're shooting at you then they spiral off into space then you blow up.

I guess we broke it.

Seems this lag has returned....thought we left it back in the early days of EnB. I died 4 times trying to work on combat and lost plenty of creds. This aint worth it and seems that there is more than the server can chew. I would be real interested on the projected load of this game and how many they think they can support ocncurrently.

Actually, according to the now-locked thread in General, the lag is due to an error in their server code as implemented in the 1.0.7 patch. This will be fixed on Sunday, because right now the man in charge is taking a well-deserved day off.

Believe me, this is some damn good server code. Up until four months or so ago, it was running on a Celeron 300 and facing no problems.

I dont know about a celeron 300 thats pretty nuts, but yeah im experienceing this lag as well, cant wait for an update!

You experienced a bug that has been addressed. You will be able to make money once you start doing trade runs. I was able to add 155k yesterday by doing side trading while working on my next trade level.
