Hi, last night I successfully started broadcasting as 'Mr Universe' using groove shark , it seemed to go quite well, I had about 7 listeners not bad for a first test, I was spamming 100 quite frequently in order to get listeners which is why I am now posting here, so I don't have too!

Anyone can listen for free and in order to use the request system you have to make a free account, a very simple process I might add, and a very good request system where by songs are user voted to the top to be played next and the rest will follow, which is great for me as I can leave it unattended .

I shall be recording some cheeky sound bytes, I could be feasible cover in game events too.

I am going to find a quiet channel on VO itself to talk music and ideas

While I am not a fan of groveshark I really love the idea.

My favorite music player has built in support for groovshark. I might have to give this a try.

I paid my $9 guess will see if it's any good over time.

Yea I agree, it is not as stable as I had hoped as last night proved when I went to sleep hoping it would run its self... and it broke :( so I can't promise 24/7 service but I shall broadcast when I can, I think its still a good idea and am open to suggestions as to an alternative, as I have said before groovesharks main (and only) advantage is the live user voted suggestions system.

Been listening to the stream. Well done. I would suggest moving your broadcast equipment into a station, say Sedina D14 or Odia M14, we don't want anything happening to it in b8.

Did someone shoot Mr Uni. I wrote the awesome plugin thingy and then he vanished. I haven't bothered to clean it up any, but my OCD is kicking in and making me want to address some of the code nasty-ness. Is VO radio coming back?

You could always host one yourself instead of griping about everybody else's broadcasts. :P

It's been a long term goal for RED to create a permanent server-based radio station with ice-cast or whatever open source thing you use to do that these days. Events have lead to a slow down of projects at SkyCommand but they should be getting back on the road soon.

The grooveshark thing was a great proof of demand though.

I've long suggested that RED needs a right wing talk radio show railing against the liberal Itani agenda.

Oh America is such an odd place where Socialism is considered left wing and libertarianism is right wing.

Of course your average American is educated by vague media generalizations as to what the differences and historical circumstances of socialism/communism and capitalism are exactly.

But yes, since it will be RED socialized radio, you're all paying for it.. right? :P
